Recap: Families Rally in Support of Autism Services

Yesterday, over 50 families, ABA therapists, and allies gathered outside the Indiana Governor’s Residence to ask Governor Holcomb to stop proposed cuts to Autism services.

Thousands of Indiana families rely on ABA therapy to help their children with autism learn important life skills and live more independent, fulfilled lives.

arents emphasized the life-long impact that ABA therapy has had on their children and their entire family: “When we started ABA therapy, the change was pretty dramatic. The first time he addressed me as anything, I cried. Now he never stops talking. I don’t know if we would’ve ever been able to break through and communicate with him had it not been for the strategies they used.” – Tawni from Indianapolis

Parents carried signs with slogans such as They wouldn’t be who they are today without ABA, Governor Holcomb You are Our Last Hope, Save ABA Therapy, and Without ABA my Child Would Suffer.
